Why do you use the medium you use?

The medium I chose for this specific piece is pastel. I feel pastels have beautiful colors and on a finished piece, may look like velvet.

What role does art play in your life?

It helps me to practice focusing on one thing when there may be more than one to attend to.

What inspires you to create?

How I feel at the time.

Transformation Statement

Transformation: A thorough or dramatic change in form or appearance. Character: The quality of being individual. Perspective: A particular attitude towards, or way of regarding, something; a point of view. Spirit: The non-physical part of a person that is the seat of emotion and character. My interpretation on change in physical form to me would first start with creating an awareness to change the perspective of my spirit. Because it is so easy to confuse emotion with fact, that it affects how one would carry themselves as an individual, appearance or attitude. Change is an everyday practice and a hard lesson in awareness.
