ARTIST STATEMENT

When do you use the medium that you use?

Pencil is forgiving and the result is organic. I can use other mediums but I love the rough look of a graphite drawing, especially the contrast between dark and light.

 What role does art play in your life?

Art is an escape. Plus I love the look on someone’s face when I unveil a portrait of them or a family member.

What inspires you to create your art?

The desire to be competent at many things.
