ARTIST STATEMENT

Why do you use the medium that you use?

I use many different mediums because each piece of art that I may choose to create may also have different emotion and feelings associated with each piece individually.

What role does art play in your life?

I’ve been an artist my entire life so it may not be unusual for me to say “Art is my life,” as I’ve said to many that have inquired about my life and how art affects it or the role it plays.

What inspires you to create your art?

Throughout my life, my art has changed. I’ve done many different styles, i.e. sculpting, painting, drawing, quilting, and so on. My art and the mediums I use as well as the techniques I use vary and change with my feelings and to stick myself to one style or medium stunts growth in creating art.
