WHAT ROLE DOES ART PLAY IN YOUR LIFE?

Art is how I connect to myself & my emotions. It has taken me 33 years to finally see that my identity is that of an artist. Art is life to me, it is how I cope, celebrate, release my anger - it is how I see myself. I have been drawing or creating since I can remember across a wide range of mediums. My art is my identity and I will always be creating and connecting via my artwork.

IDENTITY STATEMENT

All society sees me as is a criminal, a problem child, a menace to be feared. My childhood was one trauma to the next and my identity is broken, my sense of self is fractured. Thanks to my Borderline Personality Disorder, even I don’t know fully who I am. Born of trauma and neglect, society has given up on me and with the cards I have been dealt, it is even harder for me, without the help and support that I need, to change my future for the better.
