IDENTITY STATEMENT

Mdewakanton-Dakota. I would like to be seen as smart, proud and creative. My life growing up on the Lower Sioux Indian Reservation in Minnesota, learning my culture and relying on my beliefs has transformed me to the smart, intelligent, educated published author I am in prison.
