Never Forgotten by James LaPoint

Meet the Artist: James LaPoint

Inspiration:

When I think of justice, I think of something you earn, whether it be good or bad, but you deserve it. I talk to a gentleman here with me who is one of the last living survivors of the Korean War, and that inspired the military theme. How could there ever be enough justice for the sacrifices the soldiers have made?

What role does art play in your life?

Art gets me out of my head, and shows me that I can do good things in life. I may have made some poor choices in my life, but I'm not judged by those when people see my drawings. What inspires me to create is, I've always wanted people to see things through my eyes. My art makes that happen.

Justice statement:

Justice to me is something you deserve, something you have to complete actions in life. The actions of our brothers, sisters, friends, ancestors and loved ones who gave and continue to give their lives for us and our way of life deserve justice. "Reward or Penalty as deserved." This is my justice for them, though it could never be enough.

You are not forgotten.
