Why do you use the medium you use?

I use ink (pen ink), watercolor and acrylic the most.  Ink black and grey is my favorite style not many can do it and I'm always learning but when an artist adds some color in an ink art piece, it will add to the art piece's attraction and it will add more meaning to its meaning that it represents.

What role does art play in your life?

Art plays a BIG role in my life especially in here.  It's how I express and show what's going through my head, but it also gets my mind out of here too and I can zone out on a good art piece.  My art has also opened all new opportunities for me to be successful when I am released from prison.

What inspires you to create?

Family, friends, and art going for a good cause are a few of the things that can inspire me.  Inspiration really may come from anything but knowing that people enjoy looking and enjoy having my art means a lot to me.  I  take a lot of pride in my art but I'm also my own worst critic because your always learning and always getting better as an artist.

Transformation Statement

Sometimes a man needs the love a good strong woman who will save, believe, have faith and inspire the best in him and motivate that man to be the best he can be, for not only himself but for his family or future family so he can be the father and provider that he wants and was meant to be.  Just that in itself can be enough motivation for that transformation we may crave or want as a man being locked up.  Our loved ones and our futures depend on our transformation no matter what our goals, motivations, or inspirations may be.  It was once said that, "From out of darkness there can be light."  That I know to be true and for that I AM truly grateful.  We can't be afraid of growth, because that's what may make you a better man, for not only yourself but also for the people you love and the people that mean so much to you.
